Today, October 30th, is a bittersweet day for both

Today, October 30th, is a bittersweet day for both Jen and me.⁠
⁠
It started out tough because it was on this day in 2016 that our mom/grandma, Joyce, passed away. So, of course, this day is surrounded with some sadness for both of us.⁠
⁠
BUT....what happened on this same day in 2020 was serendipitous a little crazy, and made us completely feel our mom/grandma Joyce's presence and fill us with joy. ⁠
⁠
And it's all about these snake rings.⁠
⁠
This snake ring was my mom's signature piece of jewelry. She wore it every day and when she passed, the ring was passed on to me. It's an extremely unique piece and one that she bought when we lived in Athens, Greece. We've looked and never seen another one like it.⁠
⁠
BUT.....on this exact night in 2020, Jen decided to search the internet one more time. And this time, she found a 99% replica in a small jewelry shop in New Jersey. And New Jersey is key also, because that's where our mom/grandma is buried. She was born in New York and we lived in NJ and that's where she wanted her final resting place to be.⁠

SO....Jen finds this ring on the anniversary of her passing, in the state that her grandma loved....coincidence? We think not!⁠

We had a fun-filled spooky weekend!

Saturday was @detroitzoo Zoo Boo! We got to trick or treat around the zoo, check out the animals and ride the carousel! We saw so many awesome costumes!

Sunday we took a daytime trip to Terror on Tillson Street in Romeo, MI.

Most of the houses put out elaborate Halloween decorations every year, and thousands of people visit to check them out!

We went during the day so it was more spooky vs scary for Eme 👻 It’s a ton of fun to check out!
