And the 2022 Pantone Color of the Year is……Veri Peri!
According to the Pantone website, “Very Peri displays a spritely, joyous attitude and dynamic presence that encourages courageous creativity and imaginative expression.” What’s different about this year’s selection is that this color was created to be the Color of the Year. It was not one of the colors that was in Pantone’s existing arsenal.
“The challenges we are facing have not only led us to reframe our cultural values, but we are rewriting our lives,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “It just seemed right that we create a new color. Veri Peri is a reflection of our will and determination to find alternative solutions. It’s a symbol of the global zeitgeist in this moment of transition.”
So, what does all this mean for us? Will we be seeing this beautiful periwinkle color on clothing racks, in home goods and in shoes? You bet! It’s already started. We’ve put together a list of products that are all in the periwinkle hue. If you’re a purple fan like me, you’re going to be very happy. If not, well, then, I’m sorry!

I’m starting here because of all the things I found, this pair from Cariuma was the most specific item I found. It was created in partnership with Pantone, so you know it is the exact hue.
