What’s fun about shopping for gifts for teens, is that a lot of times the things we would just buy for ourselves, teens don’t necessarily have the means to do so. Teens probably also have a long list of things they would like to get for the holidays, but it’s fun to include some surprises in there too.

For All Teens
Fujifilm Instax Mini Camera from Target
A fun polaroid camera and a photo album are really fun ways for teens to make and keep memories. There’s something so much more fun about flipping through a photo album than scrolling through pictures on your phone.
Polaroid Photo Album ($14.95) from Amazon
3-in-1 Charging Station from Amazon
A great charging station for three of the most popular Apple products – iPhone, Apple Watch and Apple Air Pods. Even if they don’t own all three, they most likely will at some point and it will be nice to have everything able to be charged in one place!
Personalized Apple Airpods Case from Etsy
Etsy has quite a few to chose from (for both guys and gals) but we really like the personalization that is available with this case in particular. Available in both sizes of Airpods.
Apple Air Tag from Amazon
The Apple Air Tag would be a great gift for a teen who for whatever reason keeps losing their things. Bear with me for a minute – I think back to high school and how my best friend lost I think at least 8 TI-83 calculators (do kids still use those these days?). Those calculators were expensive, and her mom usually had one on hand for when she lost the current one. We didn’t have cell phones back then, but I imagine this would have come in handy if we did.
Rocker Gaming Chair from Pottery Barn Teen
If your teen is a big gamer, a nice gaming chair will help keep their back from hurting after slouching or sitting in a weird position for a long time. If there’s a new video game they’re asking for, this would be a great gift in addition to the game, since you know they’ll be playing for a long time!
Bare Home Weighted Blanket from Amazon
How cozy is this? It’s like giving a hug when you can’t be there! Available in nine colors to match almost any room decor.
As a teenager, I spent a lot of time by myself in my room, and a lot of time sitting on my bed. So, I would have loved having this in my room to keep all of my things in one place. Plus, it’ll be easier to find old cups and plates that would have gone missing otherwise!
Beauty Galore
When I (Jen) was younger, I remember getting and loving beauty-related gifts. Like makeup kits, brushes, nail polishes, whatever. So using the knowledge you have now, why not put together a beauty kit, and wrap it up in a Caboodle ($19.99)! Caboodles are back, and cool again (who would have thought?!)
Glossier The Skincare Edit
Benefit The Great Brow Basics
Smashbox Primer Water
Maybe even include a mini skincare fridge for their room, and a couple cooling face masks to go with it!
Natural Henna Temporary Tattoo Freestyle Kit – $25
When I (Jen) was a teenager, my best friends and I would buy henna and try to give ourselves temporary tattoos. They always turned out terrible and never showed up. With a kit like this, we would have been able to give each other awesome temporary tattoos that actually lasted!
Mani/Pedi Lap Desk from Pottery Barn Teen
I (Dianne) have something similar to this (but not nearly as cool) and I love it. This way you can do your nails pretty much anywhere. I also love the storage compartment that is built in.
Lighted Vanity Mirror from Amazon
There are so many vanity mirrors to choose from, this one is pretty simple and straightforward. It has both lights and magnification as well as a storage tray. It’s compact and travels easily so she can use it in the bathroom or her bedroom (or both!)
Fashion Finds
Your teen has probably seen this bag all over the Internet and in fashion magazines. It’s a big time favorite for Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski. Check out this article from “Page 6” on the popularity of this bag HERE. It’s available in a multitude of colors. It’s the perfect size for any teen!
Collegiate Pouches from Uncommon Goods
Getting ready for college, or have a favorite school, these pouches are adorable and great for storing small items like keys or makeup. I (Jen) am partial to the Michigan State pouch, and love the design! I can’t believe it even says midnight scream on it! During finals at midnight, everyone goes outside and screams, and you can hear it all over campus!
Monogram Pendant Necklace from Anthropologie
Anthropologie has been selling this necklace for several seasons – it’s still incredibly popular. It has a unique style, different from other initial necklaces. They have all 26 letters on their website and you can view each one to see how it looks.
Ugg Fluff Yeah Slide Slipper on Amazon
A little bit of a splurge for slippers, but you can already tell how comfortable they would be. We love the elastic band in the back to make sure they stay on since slides can sometimes “slide off” (pun intended!)
Ashford Faux Shearling Backpack from Eddie Bauer
How can you not love anything that’s shearling (and fuzzy). This is a unique and fun look for a backpack for anyone!
