How to Wear it at Any Age Volume 25

Welcome to “How to Wear it at Any Age Volume 25”! Our theme for this edition is spring transitional style. It’s that weird time of the year where it’s tough to figure out what to wear from one day to the next. Especially here in Michigan where it can, literally, be 65 degrees one day and snow the next.

So we picked three pieces that have a “spring feel” to them but can still be worn on those chillier days.

HOW DOES “HOW TO WEAR IT AT ANY AGE” WORK?

This is how “How to Wear it at Any Age Volume 25” works: We decide together on the items that we want to style. We do not share how we were going to style each one, so that we can’t influence each other. Sometimes we will style things very similar and sometimes very different. But we hope in all cases we give you some style inspiration, no matter what your age or life stage!

THE CHALLENGE FOR “HOW TO WEAR IT AT ANY AGE” VOLUME 25

Cream Bomber Jacket – Jen’s Styling

Most of what I wear lately is casual, so adding this bomber jacket makes me look just a little more put together.

A friend of mine at work told me that Nike Blazers are in, and there was a Valentine’s Day sale on the Nike app for 25% off. They’re super cute, and I’ve worn them a couple times when it hasn’t been sloppy outside with crew socks (I was also told these are cool too).

This is an outfit I would wear to drop Eme off at school in the morning and look “cool” while talking to the other parents. Not that I need to look cool for the other parents, but it’s nice to mix it up from the usual sweatpants they see me in!

The jacket isn’t super warm, so I won’t be wearing it until it’s a little bit warmer outside. But it fit really great!

JEN’S ALTERNATE LOOK:

I wanted to change it up a bit for the alternate outfit from what I would normally do!

This traveler dress is really cute, even though it’s probably a pain to go to the bathroom. Something to keep in mind!

I’d add on the slip on sneakers, but if you’re feeling trendy you could do scrunched crew socks and sneakers too.

Cream Bomber Jacket – Dianne’s Styling

I have to say, about 99% of the time I would wear a spring jacket open. But I loved the details on this jacket so much that I decided to wear it buttoned. I would wear it out this way, I feel like it’s an outfit all on its own.

I bought these new canvas/raffia sneakers in a cream color so they blend really nicely. I bought these in-store at Marshalls for $70 (the photo won’t show up so this is the link) but Target has a very similar pair for $43 which I will include below. I usually like a pop of color in my handbag, but I kept this look monochrome. And with the tones being more cream than white, it’s perfect for early spring.

For my alternate look, I wanted to add some color and I love wide leg linen pants for summer. This would make for a very chic spring look. Once again, I kept my accessories in a cream color to both blend with the jacket and not be too summery just yet.

At Any Age

This shirt just looks like a spring day, and gets me excited for warmer weather! It would be perfect to wear for Easter brunch with your family.

I kept it a little more casual with jeans, but it’s still “dressy” with the booties.

This is an outfit I would wear to work too. People don’t really dress up a lot anymore when we do go into the office, but it’s nice to feel put together.

I was a little worried about the buttons with my chest, but they all buttoned just fine without any gapping. But if you’re still not sure, you could easily wear a cami tank underneath.

If you want to take your Easter outfit to the next level, I love these pants! They’re available in a bunch of different colors, but I like the green because it picks up just a little bit of green in the shirt.

Nude heels make sure the focus is all on the outfit!

Floral Blouse – Dianne’s Styling

Lavender is my favorite color so I wanted to pull out the lavender in the blouse. But you could just as easily pull out the blue shades (which is what I did in my alternate look.)

This blouse screams spring and florals are always a great choice. The long sleeves make it the perfect transitional piece. I decided to add the thong heeled sandals in a nude color to give it a more open, spring look. But you could just as easily still wear booties (a white pair would look great!)

DIANNE’S ALTERNATE LOOK:

As I mentioned above, you can pull out the blue in this blouse just as easily as you can the lavender. I went with a white jean and then added the blue sandals (that I love and could easily be worn with jeans). Not too original, but I went with the summer staple – white jeans, but how could you not? This is a perfect spring brunch outfit!

Cargo Joggers – Jen’s Styling

These cargo pants are so fun! They feel like workout material, but don’t look anything like workout gear!

I’ve been really into bodysuits lately, and I really like how it looks with the cargo pants. I topped it with my usual faux leather jacket for while it’s still a little chilly outside. Plus my Nike Dunks!

This is another outfit I would wear to drop Eme off at school, all the way to a casual dinner! It looks really put together but also comfortable.

And because of the material, just be forewarned that you might have some VPLs if that bothers you. You could easily wear a thong or a longer shirt to cover it up.

JEN’S ALTERNATE LOOK:

Because of the pants material, I would still keep the outfit casual, but I added a looser half-zip instead of a tight bodysuit. With almost everything, if the sweatshirt is long enough I’ll tuck the front into the pants to give myself a little more shape.

And as usual, I’d add on some sneakers, my Converse! But mine are definitely a little more worn in than these!

I was a little intimidated to style these pants at first – I feel like I can never get the right look with how joggers fall. But after playing with it a bit, I love how it turned out. Tan and pink are one of my favorite color combinations, so I added the pink jacket to give the outfit a pop of color.

I just got these platform Adidas sneakers and they are so comfortable. I’ve had platform sneakers in the past, but not one made by an athletic shoe company. I think that’s what makes them feel so goo.

My tote bag is a creation by my friend Sherrie Weitzman, who is the artist. This particular scene is no longer available, but I highly recommend you checking our her Etsy shop, WanderlustArtGiftsCo.

DIANNE’S ALTERNATE LOOK:

At Any Age Volume 25

As Jen mentioned, the material on these pants is pretty casual, so I also kept my alternate look casual. The black sweater is just a simple V-neck and I swapped out my sneakers for flat sandals. I added the canvas tote, also casual, but added some bling with a multi-strand gold necklace.
