February Amazon Favorites: Jen’s Top Picks

I went through my list of recent Amazon purchases, and while my February Amazon favorites are random, they are quintessentially me as a person at this exact moment. I can only laugh at how nerdy that sounds.

Without further ado, my favorites!

Body Pillow

I’m currently around 100 weeks pregnant (actually 27), and finding ways to stay comfortable can be a real struggle. Especially sleeping, when I had just started becoming a stomach sleeper before getting pregnant.

With my first pregnancy, I had a body pillow that was sort of a C shape. But after I brought it back out this time I realized I needed to do a fan kick to just roll over. Not ideal for staying asleep, when I REALLY need my sleep.

One night while trying to fall asleep I thought “this is stupid, order a new body pillow”. And here we are! This one is more of a horseshoe shape, so it’s much easier to get comfortable and to move around at night.

I just turn myself into a little cocoon with my pillow and blankets. And Mike basically only sees the top of my head until morning.

Compression Gloves

Another fun thing that’s happened more since getting pregnant is I’ve had a lot of inflammation and my hands have been sort of stiff.

Enter these compression gloves! I wear them during the day while I work, and my hands feel much less stiff by the end of the day.

They’re not cute, but who cares at this point? I’m just trying to make it through May!

I even made a joke with Mike that when I was wearing these gloves and my all-gray sweatsuit I looked like a before shot of Rocky Balboa. HA!

Heated Eye Massager

This is a gift I got Mike for Christmas, but I fully borrow it from time to time. It looks like a large ski mask, only you can’t see through it.

I wear blue light blocking glasses while I work, but sometimes my eyes are just so strained and need a break.

There’s pressure, heat, music and vibration settings for a super relaxing eye massage. I usually stick to pressure and heat, and after 15 minutes I feel 100X better. And maybe part of that is just 15 uninterrupted minutes of keeping your eyes closed. Every parent’s dream.

Towel Warmer

I’ve wanted to get a towel warmer for ages, and this year I decided to just put it on my Christmas list.

Our house was built in 1989, and while it’s very well-built, there’s still some things I would change. Like our bathroom. There wasn’t a fan until we moved in and added one, and it’s either FREEZING or warm. Very rarely in the middle.

So in the winter, taking a shower is quite the experience.

Now, I put my pajamas in the towel warmer first, and then my towel, and move it as close to the shower door as I can.

Eme loves using the towel warmer when she takes a bath, a nice toasty towel and warm pajamas before bed can’t be beat!

This isn’t just one of my February Amazon favorites, it’s a full-time winter favorite!

Mandoline

A little nerdy and a little weird? Yep. I’ve been wanting a mandoline slicer for ages, and decided to ask for it for Christmas. And Mike got it for me! Hooray!

I’ve made brussels sprouts salads so many times using this mandoline, because it’s SO EASY (Brussels sprouts + parmesan + a little salt + toasted pine nuts + Garlic Expressions vinaigrette)

Cutting brussels sprouts with a knife takes FOREVER if you’re trying to get thin slices. And with this guy it’s all done in 5 minutes or less.

But if you’re going to be using a mandoline, and especially with brussels sprouts because they’re really hard to use with the safety guard, I HIGHLY recommend a cutting glove. Without going into too many details, I definitely learned my lesson not using one!

Logic Puzzles

I have recently become obsessed with logic puzzles. Logic puzzles give you a series of clues and you have to solve the puzzle using deductive reasoning.

There’s a point in every puzzle where I think I’m never going to get it, and more often than not, I do. And it’s so satisfying.

Plus, I feel like it’s keeping my brain sharp and thinking differently, and also staying away from my phone for a little while.

Kindle

I got a Kindle Paperwhite for my birthday last year, and I got one for my sister on her birthday this year, and we’re both obsessed! It’s so lightweight and easy to travel with that I can read anywhere and everywhere.

My sister used to bring a physical book everywhere she went, and now her purse just lightened up by a couple pounds!

I also love being able to highlight passages in books I want to remember, and sending them to an app like Readwise to store them, and review them again.

What are some of your February Amazon favorites? I’d love to know what I should check out next!
