Valentine’s Day Outfits
Tops
Here are our looks for Valentine’s Day. We both picked things that we already had in our closet, so we don’t have exact links, but we’ve put some similar items below. You can find Dianne’s handbag when you scroll down to our Valentine’s and Galentine’s Day accessories section.
I did have an alternate look to my magenta blouse and that was going with a lace top. Lace is another great option for Valentine’s Day.
Bottoms
Stay classic with black pants or faux leather leggings or go bold with some pink or red pants.
Dresses
Here’s another opportunity to go with a classic red dress or switch it out for some different colors and prints. A winter white dress is also a great look – pair it with a red belt, handbag or booties for a fun and festive look.
Shoes
Here is a great place to have fun. Want to go with all classic black or all white? Add a pair of red booties or red suede pumps.
Coats
If you’re in the north like we are and it’s cold on Valentine’s Day, then a festive coat will help you make an entrance.
Galentine’s Day Outifits
For our Galentine’s Day outfits, we each went in a little different direction. Jen went more “comfy cozy” and Dianne was thinking more of a brunch outfit (didn’t Leslie Knope say waffles are a necessity??). But both work, you decide what works best for you!
Curious about the origin of Galentine’s Day? You may know it started on “Parks & Rec”, but this article from Good Housekeeping has all the details.
Galentine’s Day Outfits: Tops
From comfy sweatershirts and tees to brunch-worthy sweaters, here are more of our favorite looks. (The red sleeveless blouse is exactly what Dianne is wearing under her jacket).
Ivory Blazers
Another “Plan B” outfit that I styled with a faux leather jacket and the the red suede pumps as shown above. It’s another alternative to consider. My exact tweed blazer is the first one shown below and my exact faux leather jacket is the second one shown below.
Galentine’s Day Outfits: Bottoms
Whether you want to go comfy or festive, all these bottoms will give you both comfort and style.
Galentine’s Day Dresses
Here’s where if you’re heading out for waffles, you can put on a fun casual dress. Add a pair of knee high boots or even some sneakers and it’s another great comfy-casual look.
Shoes
Whether you’re staying in and want some fun slippers or want to add some festive color in pink combat boots, these are shoes you can wear all year long. The first pair of tan booties are the exact pair Dianne is wearing with her outfit.
Galentine’s Day Outfits: Coats
Have fun with these. Enough said.
Accessories for Valentine’s and Galentine’s Day Outfits
The nice part about accessories is that, in most cases, they can be paired with any outfit – dressy or casual. Here’s some of our favorites.
Handbags
It’s amazing to us just how many heart shaped bags are out there! But if you want to go more traditional, we’ve got great options for that too.
Scarves
Just want a small Valentine’s Day piece to add to your wardrobe? A scarf is perfect and inexpensive.
Earrings
Heart earrings are not just for Valentine’s Day – you can wear these all year long.
Sunglasses
Just fun, that’s all.
