Silver and Gold: Metallic Tops
Metallic tops are a quick way to look festive at your next holiday gathering. They can be paired with skirts or pants, and especially look great with faux leather pants. Make sure to scroll, we’ve got 10 different options for you, including this puff sleeve turtleneck neck that Dianne is wearing.
Metallic Pants & Skirts
Metallic pants are definitely a bit more daring, but why not? We would keep our top simple and let the pants do all the talking!
Silver and Gold: Metallic Dresses
A metallic dress is always in style. The fun part with metallic dresses is that you can go from subtle to high glitter. There’s no right or wrong, pick the “level” that works with your personal style.
Silver & Gold: Throw on a Blazer!
Just a couple of options here – but throwing on a metallic blazer on an all-black outfit would be spectacular!
Metallic Shoes – The Fun & The Formal
It doesn’t have to be all fancy – you can add some festive footwear to your everyday look!
SNEAKERS
PUMPS/SANDALS
LOAFERS/FLATS
BOOTIES
Silver and Gold Belts
If you just want to tip your toe in the water with metallics, adding a belt is the perfect place to start.
Bring Silver and Gold Outside
Last but not least, you can always add a metallic beanie or vest and bring it outside!
Jen’s Metallic Beauty Guide
Not sure if you want to go all out with your metallic outfit, but still want to include some sparkle? Your makeup is the place!
Nails
Nails are the easiest way to incorporate some sparkle! Can be much less intimidating than eyeshadow (but don’t be scared of eyeshadow either!). Just make sure you have a good nail polish remover, because if you’re using a glitter polish, it can be tough to get off!
I love the Olive & June nail system for doing my nails. The clean up brush has been a game changer for me! There’s a lot of gorgeous metallic shades from Olive & June, plus some shades I love from other brands!
Eyeshadow
Eyeshadow is also another really easy way to sparkle and shine for the holidays! There’s really no rules when it comes to makeup, but, I would be careful about overdoing the eyeshadow if you’re also wearing a full metallic outfit.
There’s ways to make your eyeshadow more or less intense, so you can vary your makeup look based on the outfit!
Least Intense – use a eyeshadow packing brush for application
More Intense – use your finger for application
Most intense – after picking up the eyeshadow on your brush, spray with a setting spray or MAC Fix+
If you’re applying a cream or a liquid formula, you’re going to get maximum sparkle and shine!
When wearing a metallic eyeshadow, you can go with a really simple application for a stunning look!
Using a neutral shade a little bit darker than your skin tone, place in the crease for just a little definition. From there, pack on as little or as much eyeshadow as you want! In this look, I added liner and a red lip! It’s a gorgeous holiday look!
