So we picked three pieces that will brighten any wardrobe!

HOW DOES “HOW TO WEAR IT AT ANY AGE VOLUME 26” WORK?

This is how “How to Wear it at Any Age Volume 25” works: We decide together on the items that we want to style. We do not share how we were going to style each one, so that we can’t influence each other. Sometimes we will style things very similar and sometimes very different. But we hope in all cases we give you some style inspiration, no matter what your age or life stage!

Here’s what we’re styling for “How to Wear it at Any Age” Volume 26, from left to right:

THE CHALLENGE FOR “HOW TO WEAR IT AT ANY AGE” VOLUME 26

LIGHT BLUE SUIT – DIANNE’S STYLING

At Any Age

Jen and I could not be more excited that suit sets are back in style. In most cases, like this one from Old Navy, they are sold as separates, so you can get the right size for each part of your body. I styled mine very traditionally with a pleated white blouse. I do like a monochromatic look, so I will be on the hunt for a top that matches as close as I can.

As an alternate, I styled it with a navy shirt and some 80’s inspired jewelry.

DIANNE’S ALTERNATE LOOK:

I kept with the navy accents in my alternate look. This look is a little more summery with the print blouse and the gray sandals. You can add the belt to add a cinching effect, but this blouse would probably look just as great without it. I tried to add more gray/silver accents to keep in line with the blue hue of the suit.

Suit sets are back in style, and they can be more than “typical” office wear! The look of pairing this suit with a graphic tshirt and sneakers, goes beyond what you’d wear to work. You could wear it to work, but you could wear this just about anywhere else too!

What’s great about this set is that so many different outfits can be made with each piece individually! Wear both for work, and neither feel like you’re wearing a “suit”.

The white top and pants plus the jacket and shoes, is *chefs kiss*. I would absolutely wear this, even though wearing white pants can be risky.

And the patterned button down top with the pants gives an awesome retro feel. Minus the Farrah Fawcett hair.

Puff Sleeve Midi Dress- Dianne’s Styling

How fun is this dress? The color is amazing and screams spring. I sometimes find that it’s hard to find the perfect puff sleeve. It seems they are either a little too puffy or not puffy enough. But this one is perfect. The dress is designed to flatter your figure too. It cinches in at the waist and the fullness of the skirt balances well with the puff sleeve shoulders – giving you a nice hourglass shape!

I went “summer classic” with my styling – the wedge espadrilles, straw bag and rattan earrings. It doesn’t get more spring than that!

There’s not much I would change about the styling of this dress. It’s so pretty all on it’s own. So, the only thing I could think of was adding a hat! I would keep everything else the same and make it summer/beachy look!

This dress is so cute for spring, and I would wear it dressed up and dressed down! With two kids, I still like to dress up and look nice. But heels and a baby don’t really mix (plus I can be klutzy sometimes).

So dressing up sneakers is a great trend for me! Plus, the length of the dress means I don’t have to worry about bending down to do something with my kids, and showing everyone…everything.

A couple swaps and this dress has a fancier feel. Heeled sandals and a sweater make this a super sweet springtime outfit. When it’s just starting to get warm outside, but it’s still a little chilly at nighttime.

I had the heels and sweater nearby when I was taking photos, so I decided to take some shots of this outfit too. And it’s really cute both ways!

Orange Flutter Sleeve Top – Dianne’s Styling

I don’t know why, but this just reminds me of something I would have work as a kid. I feel like my mom always dressed me in bright colors and this orange top is definitely bright. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. This top is a part of Macy’s new On 34th line. What I like about the line is that there is a lot of “mix and match”. So you’ll find pieces designed to go together and they are all affordably priced.

I went with the classic white denim skirt and sneakers. I can see this being my uniform all summer. You can definitely dress this top up, just by changing the shoes and adding a belt. I think that when I changed those, it immediately changed the look.

DIANNE’S ALTERNATE LOOK:

I went with a classic jeans look for my alternate. I intentionally picked a dark wash because I like the contrast with the orange top, it makes it pop. But because I don’t want any additional “color”, I kept the trench coat, booties and handbag all light colored and monochromatic. Even with the coat on, the top will pop and be the “hero” of the outfit.

Jeans are usually my go-to, but I remembered I had these linen pants from a couple years ago and thought they would look great together! With these flats and a jean jacket, it’s great for spring time. I’d wear this to work, or even out to dinner with friends!

When it gets warmer out, adding sandals makes it a great summer outfit!

Plaid pants are another fun pairing with this top! A cute and preppy outfit for the office. I feel like I’ve had my eye on cap-toe shoes like this for ages and still haven’t bought them! Probably because I rarely go into the office!

But these shoes will make any outfit look chic and put together!
