I have to admit it – I had a lot of fun with this “challenge” of makeup looks for under $100. One of the things I realized in doing this is that I haven’t experimented much in a while. Oh sure, I buy new lipsticks all the time, even eyeshadows. But for the real basics, like foundation and concealer, I’ve pretty much stuck with what I know works for me.
When it comes to makeup, I don’t always believe “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. I think there are some things that you find after a lengthy search that you stick with. For me, that’s my foundation. But I haven’t really changed my blush or bronzer, for example, in quite a while. It was fun to think of the possibility of finding a new gem and I was open to the possibilities!
So, off I went and it felt like I spent at least an hour looking at all the brands and products. When I was much younger, I used to like Revlon products a lot. So, for several of the items, I decided to go back to my roots. I also wanted to try newer products like e.l.f., which I know Jen likes a lot. And then there is the American classic – Maybelline. I had to add some Maybelline products to the mix!
I tried to find the best prices on these items for you. Most were on Amazon. I did notice during Amazon Prime Day that there were great deals on Maybelline products and that seems to be continuing. So I would check Amazon especially when you’re considering purchasing Maybelline products. All of the Amazon prices listed below are as of 6/29/21.

Makeup Looks Under $100: Face
For my face, I used products from e.l.f and Maybelline, specifically:
1. e.l.f Poreless Putty Primer
2. Maybelline Dewy & Smooth Fit Me Foundation – Natural Beige
3. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser – Brightener
4. e.l.f. Primer Infused Blush – Always Cheeky
5. e.l.f Primer Infused Bronzer – Forever Sunkissed
Total cost for face: $29.61
Eyes
The eyes were a selection from both Revlon and Maybelline:
Revlon So Fierce Mascara – Blackened Brown
Revlon So Fierce Vinyl Eyeliner – Mighty Mocha
Maybelline Eye Shadow Expert Wear – Chai Latte
Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim – Blonde
Total cost for eyes: $23.94
Lips
I wanted to try a little different shade, so I found this Maybelline shade, kind of a brownish-pink that I really likes. It’s Color Sensational Lipstick in Warm Me Up for $5.62
Makeup Looks Under $100: The Extras
Since I had a little leftover to spend, I decided on two “splurge” items to round up to the $100. The first is Bliss Ex-Glow-Sion Moisturizer for $19.96. I heard a lot of good things about this moisturizer and decided to give it a try for a more “dewy” look. (As my skin gets older, I find I need a little more help in keeping my skin smooth)
The second item is the Beauty Blender for $20. I cannot recommend this enough – it really does make a difference in how your foundation is applied and how long it lasts in place. I don’t use it everyday, but I always use it for big events or for photoshoots for the blog.
The Final Receipt
And the grand total is (drumroll, please) : $99.13
Here is an itemized list for everything I purchased, including the extras. I made it with just pennies to spare! I hope you like how it all came together. Please let me know in the comments below how I did on my makeup looks under $100!
