It’s time for one of our most favorite gift guides – kids! As you may know, Jen’s daughter Eme is four years old and Dianne’s grandson, Colin (in the photo) just turned three.
So, we are both in the midst of buying gifts for kids. That, combined with the fact that we are both big kids at heart, makes the kids gift guide fun for us!
We’ve put together a collection of both new and classic toys for kids of all ages!

Gifts for Kids: Our Favorite Toy Memories
Dianne:
When I spotted that this game was back, it immediately brought back memories for me. “Booby Trap” was the game that I played with my mom all the time when I was little.
It’s a two-player game so it would just be her and me, which I loved. In fact, I still have the original game that I got for my birthday when I was about seven years old and it still makes me smile.

Jen:
I’m going to make myself sound really old when I say this, but toys have definitely changed since I was a kid!
When we were younger, there was always one “big” gift that my sister and I would share, and I remember being SO excited about getting a play kitchen!
Funny enough, it was pretty basic, which makes sense because kitchens in the early 90’s were also very basic!
I loved playing in my pretend kitchen, and now, Eme loves playing in her pretend kitchen (and pretend food truck!).
Such a fun gift for growing imaginations!
Gifts for The Littlest Ones
These are some of the more fun gifts for kids to watch the little ones play. Watching them concentrate and learn is a joy.
Kids Most Loved Popular Characters
Who hasn’t heard of Paw Patrol or Bluey? They are every where these days. Both Eme and Colin love Paw Patrol and can’t get enough of those cute little puppers. Of course, Blue’s Clues and Grogu are still right up there too.
We’ve got the classic characters in gifts for kids next!
Classic Favorite Characters
Ah Barbie. She is always a great gift. Mattel helps in along that they are always coming up with new dolls and accessories so you never run out of gift options!
Gifts They Will All Love:

Gifts for Kids: Junior Versions of Classic Board Games
We added these because there are so many choices these days in “junior’ games that the kids can play. No more waiting until you get older. And we love the different versions you can get today – especially this Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer version of the classic “Operation”.
We hope you’ve found some great ideas for gifts for kids. We’ve got lots more gift guides for you to check out including Gifts for Him, Gifts for Her and more. See them all at Gifts & Shopping Guides.
